Mabon musings, a day late.

Since yesterday was officially Mabon, which is kind of the Pagan version of Thanksgiving, and because I feel like I've done way too much whining lately, I present to you all

Teesa's List o' Thankfulness.

I am thankful for:

My job. Though occasionally the parents and children get on my nerves, I have a great job…which brings me to…

My boss. He too drives me crazy on occasion, but all in all, I couldn't find someone nicer. He lets me run the office how I see fit, lets me adapt the schedule to my needs, and has taken both the news that I'm pagan and a lesbian without blinking. Hell, he's always suggesting places I should take Nix to dinner, or for romantic strolls.

My Coven. They're wonderful. Supportive, more family then some of the people I've got blood relations to. Once I get a little more used to telling people when I need help, I'll be good to go.

My Health. Yeah, I've got a cough that won't go away, and yes, it's fucking my back muscles sideways without a condom. But aside from that, I'm in good shape, and all my parts are in working order. All things considered, I've got it good. (This will not keep me from whining incessantly, mind you.)

My Family. Speaking of things that dive me batshit….. Still, I love my family. They're loud, overwhelming, and always in your business, but they're still the best.

My Friends. They constantly surprise me with their wit, compassion, and determination. And, along with my beloved, they're something I cherish above all else.

My Fiancé. What can I say about her that won't burn your retinas out with pure sappiness? She's the best thing that every happened to me, the one who makes me smile, who holds me when I cry, and tells me it'll be all right. I love her more than I dreamed I was capable of.

I can really relate to most of this, especially when it comes to the family, friends and fiancee parts of it. I'm amazed that everyone, including my conservative parents, have been so supportive of my life in general, not just my relationship with Bliss, and I feel like one of the luckiest people alive just to be able to experience that.
