Greetings from 30,000 feet! (Or whatever it is.) We’re currently over Minnesota, having finished our first 2hours of a 5.5 hour flight.
So far, Alaska Airlines is treating us well. We’re in first class, which means Biscoff cookies and a full breakfast. I had some delicious parmesan eggs with bacon and potatoes. There was also fruit and yogurt with granola as sides. I’m very full, but happy.
So far, the flight hasn’t been very turbulent at all, and I’m hoping that continues for the rest of the ride.
We got to the airport early, but security was a little slow, so we only had about an hour til our flight was boarding. We went to the lounge, which was not great. Definitely not worth the cost. Before we knew it, it was time to board. Being in first class, that went super smoothly, and before we knew it, we were on the plane.
Now we shall just relax and hopefully get into Seattle about 9:50am PST.
Once we land, then the real fun starts. We’ll be running the road in Seattle and Vancouver for the rest of the day. Then, tomorrow, we do it again, running all over Vancouver. I can’t wait.
I’m really looking forward to getting on the ground. So much to do and see! It’s going to be awesome.
Yesterday took roughly forever. Work seemed to drag on way longer than it should. I got all my work done, and signed off with a “see you in 11 days,” with a gif of a whale tail flapping and sinking under the waves.
Then, I tried to nap and failed miserably. Mostly I sat in the living room and just vibrated in anticipation. I did get some decent sleep, for about 5 hours, so that’s going to have to do me. I don’t generally sleep on planes, so I probably won’t get any more than that until we crash tonight.
We’re going to see how we feel when we’ve relaxed for a couple of minutes, as to whether we go out to dinner. We might be wiped. Either way, I’m going in the pool for a little while when we get done. It’s on the 8th floor with a view of the mountains. I wants it, precious. I know it’ll probably be in the 60s, but the hot tub and pool are calling me. I can feel it from here.
The wifi is having problems with dreamwidth, so if this is poster late, you know why.
I may try to doze off now, so I shall sign off. Pictures and adventures tomorrow. Everyone have an outstanding Thursday!
