I really enjoyed that three day weekend. I'm totally going to pay for it today when we get slammed at work but it was nice. Especially yesterday, since I had to take my Mounjaro on Sunday and now I feel kinda bleh. It's not horrible nausea, but it's definitely there. By last night, all I wanted was matzo ball soup, but my normal hook up was closed for the holiday, and the replacement was not good. So I will order some for lunch from the good place. I don't know that I strictly need to, I'm not feeling as queasy today, but from a "I wanted something and didn't get it," I do need it.

I did very little yesterday. I relaxed and felt queasy and vertiginous and was annoyed with my body. Apparently, there's something called Mal de Debarquement Syndrome that can cause you to have vertigo for a while after the cruise. I'm wondering if it's something like that. Or it could just be that the vertigo I had a few years ago has been waiting for its time to strike, and this was an eaxy target. Though, the Mal de Debarquement Syndrome apparently hits women between 30-60 (85% of the sufferers), and hits people who have migraines more frequently, too. So basically, I was fucked. Don't care, it's totally worth it.

Looking back, it still seems like a dream. It was 10 glorious days of being pampered, having everything you wanted at your fingertips, ad seeingt he most beautiful and exciting sights. Standing at the foot of the Mendenahll, and looking up at it's bookends of Mount McGinnis and Bullard Mountain is etched into my soul. Even with several thousand of my closest friends, it just had this amazing stillness and majesty. It was huge and beautiful and sacred. Even though the sheer scope was overwhelming, I could have stayed their forever, and just stared.

I didn't see an orca, but that's okay. Just means I need to go back. Maybe to do a cruise/land tour, go up to Denali and see some moose, too.

But for now, we shall look to the California Coast. I'm very excited about the cruise, but I'm equally excited about the whole trip. I continue to research. At this point, I've got lunch and dinner plans for San Diego and San Francisco. I've got a list of snack and food to get at Disneyland. I've watched videos about the rides at Disneyland and at Disney's California Adventure to start working out a plan of attack.

Disneyland is going to be our first park, and we have about 11 rides that I might like to ride in it. Disney just introduced the Premire lightning lane. Normal lightning lanes, you can book into a ride and get a return time, where you'll come and get in quicker. It's good, but it can lead to you having to criscross the park repeatedly. Some attractions will say come in 10 min, some will say come back in 6 hours. Not useful when you've only got one day in the park. Instead, this one you just show up whenever and are put int he lightnign lane line for quick access. It's pricey as fuck, but for the time we're spending there, it might be worth it to be able to ride what we want when we want, without having to go around the park 80 times.

It annoys me that the cruise is the only thing I can lock in right now. The rest won't open til later this year or even into next year. I want to book everything and have it all locked down, but alas.

Instead, I shall plan for Confab this October, which I can make plans for. Jess has indicated tht they would like to go this time, since we have a place to put the dog while we're gone, so that's exciting. I will probably book the plane tickets when I get paid next week.

For now, I shall gird my loins for battle and get ready for work. Everyone have a terrific Tuesday!
