Oh, ow.

Went for a massage yesterday. They did a lot of deep tissue work, and it hurt. I knew my back and shoulders were fucked up, and they definitely needed it. I feel looser today, and my shoulders aren't up around my ears, but I have that all-over bruised feeling today. A little ibuprofen should help, and I'll be fine tomorrow. It's just fun body tricks.

Still waiting to hear back on the job app. I know I'm getting at least a phone interview, and the posting didn't close until yesterday, so hopefully I get a call or email on Monday. I'm hoping the first interview is an in-person, since I'm familiar with all the higher ups who work on site, and it'll give me a better chance. They know all the stuff I've done, and the times I've gone above and beyond the call of duty. (I'm looking at you, building meetings, and floor support.) If it's a phone interview, it's harder. In that case it would be someone from Corporate in Conshohocken, and they don't know me from Adam. Then, it would be on me to sell myself. Usually, hiring is started at the corporate level, and moved on from there, but since it's a little bit of a time crunch, I just don't know.

I really want to advance, and it would be an excellent opportunity, temporary though it would be. There's two negatives as far as I could see. First, it would be in the office, so it would mean wearing a mask all day. Ew. Second, the schedule stands a good chance of being shitty. Probably 2:00pm-10:00pm, which will mess with the family's schedule. Dad would like it, since he'd be able to go to bed a little later. Right now, he has to go to bed at 9:00pm, since he needs a little help getting ready for bed and we all work early. But, it's for 90 days, and that's doable.
