It is Sunday and today 6 am felt super early. Ugh. I am upright, but I don't like it. At least it shouldn't be a very intensive day today. I should just be able to do my NDRs and skate through the rest of the day, barring anything my manager comes up with.
Yesterday was a productive day. I helped Jess work towards cleaning Dad's room out. Honestly, if I had my way, we'd be getting rid of more furniture but that is not going to happen. We got the mattress out, the door off, and Jess muscled the little dresser out on their own. We still have a bunch of things left to do, including the boxspring, and disassembling the bedframe and taking out another little table.
Then, Monday, we start calling. First up, we call the nursing home about getting us a hospital bed and maybe the sit/stand assist thing covered by Medicare. Otherwise, I'm going to be calling the durable medical and seeing how fast they can deliver. I don't know how we're going to get all this done before next Sunday. But I suppose we'll have to work it out.
We did take time to get some more Crumbl Cookies and Jess' library book. If you have a Crubmbl near you, totally worth going to visit. They have a maple oatmeal that's really tasty. The cookies are enormous, so we take a knife and cut them into quarters. That seems to be a good decision-equivalent to about two oreos in size. They're dense and soft and the various frostings are good. I definitely will be making the occasional stop there. It's close to work, so on Thursday, I could totally order them at 4, and pick them up at 4:30 when I get out of there.
I had my meeting for my new CONfab position. It sounds like it's going to be a lot, but was assured that it's spread over time, so it's not so bad. It sounds like I'm kind of going to be working with everyone, so I need to get to know our various con people quickly. I mean, it's still a training position until after the October con, so I've got a little while to learn all the things I need to do.
Tonight, we shall have D&D, and that will be awesome. Then, tomorrow, we get PT for lunch!! I cannot wait. It's been 4 years since we got together between life, pandemic and then her move to Jersey.
Okay, time for me to start getting in gear for work. Everyone have a wonderful Sunday!
