Today's subject line is courtesy of
nilchance who reminded me that I really do enjoy the band Ghost. They're a Swedish heavy metal band (though a lot of their songs have a pop sound underneath). They're very Antichrist in the way you get from a country that's mostly areligious. It's kind of hilarious.
I forgot to mention that on Saturday, I watched Renfield on the pirate streaming site. As I said to Jess, it was 90 minutes, and I feel like had it gone on any longer, I might have started disliking it, but at 90, it was just right. It was gory, over the top and it seemed like everyone got the brief about what kind of movie it was going to be, and acted appropriately. Nic Cage was way over the top as Dracula, chewing scenery the whole way around. Nicholas Hoult was doe eyed and pretty. Awkwafina was solid as the human drawn into the weirdness. It didn't completely stick the ending, but I wasn't mad about it. I don't know that I would go out of my way to rec it, but it was a pleasant way to blow some time.
Yesterday was mostly boring. There was a project midway through the day that gave me something to do for an hour, but for the most part, I was just piddling around being an answerbot for my coworkers.
Fortunately, after work, we had game time, which was lovely. It was the "all combat all the time" session. We're scheduled to play this campaign again next week, but that's going to depend on what time we get dad home and what he wants to do.
Today will be a short day at work and then we have
poisontaster!! We are going to meet up for lunch on her drive back home. It's been probably four years since we got together, so I am very excited about it. We're going to have Persian food, which I'm also excited about!
I seem to have thrown my back partway out. I have an online visit scheduled at 9:45am and I'm hoping I can get some muscle relaxants, but we'll see. I'm okay sitting or standing, it's just if I laugh, cough, sneeze, etc, my back spasms and getting from sit to stand is not the most pleasant.
Okay, time for me to go forth and consider clothes. Everyone have a wonderful Monday!
