I'm coming to the conclusion that I may well be one of the most boring people I know. I used to do strange things, and have adventures. Now, all adventures must be planned in advance to avoid stressing my body into rebellion, and the strangest thing I do is give the hamster kisses on his little fuzzy head.
Most days, Jess and her fibro have more energy than I do. (Current Finals insanity notwithstanding) Movies must be considered carefully and weighed against their potential for causing a vicious migraine. Even restaurants have to be debated, so as not to piss off my delicate post-ulcer stomach. Someone needs to explain to me how the tummy can handle McDonalds, yet Wendy's makes me hurl.
But hey, Christmas/Solstice is coming! And that's kinda awesome. We're house/kitty sitting from Christmas Eve until January 4th. Jess heads down to San Antonio on the 23rd, to have Christmas with her parents. I on the other hand am staying in Baltimore. On Christmas, I'll have family time until around 2:00 pm, then, I'll go check the house/kitties, then I fly to San Antonio for 2 days, and fly back with Jess on Sunday afternoon.
All in all, it should be a lot of fun. I get to go to the theater with Jess and her parents Saturday night and see Cats! I've actually never seen it, since I wasn't a huge fan of musicals. I've relaxed that in the last few years, and thoroughly enjoyed Rent and Phantom, so of course I agreed to go have kitties shoving their tail in my face.
I'm thinking that from the 31st-Jan 2nd or 3rd, we'll spend down at the house/kitty sitting, and enjoy a little quiet time. Then, tis back to the grind. Still, it'll be a fun vacation, and more excitement than we've had since Wincon.
And now, I shall go back to calling insurance companies about their botched claims. Dumbasses.
