beansideThere was a huge flap in the HP fandom this week, because Cassie Claire, who is author of a well-known series of stories, had her house broken into and had her laptop stolen. People sent her a lot of cash so that she could get a new laptop, and therefore write them more OOC Draco p0rn. *nod*
In the ensuing wank, a call was put out on fandom_wank, which I'm a part of, to put our "Good Lord, if you want to be charitable, give to someone who really is in need, not just the BNF's" to the test.

I'm not suggesting that you should donate. That's up to you. I looked, I thought this was worthwhile, and on the up and up, and I paypal-ed a couple dollars their way. But, even more important is for the word to be spread.
Whether we write HP, LoTR, or RPS, we all inhabit this little grey corner of the 'net together. Outside of the confines of fandom, it's just as freaky to write Harry screwing Draco as Metallica slash.
