Why does my body insist on getting me up at 5? Yeesh. I had a somewhat fitful night, which is not at all unusual for me after vaccines, but ugh.

Yesterday's visit to Hopkins ended up being not bad at all. I took all my paperwork, the nurse reviewed it and stabbed me repeatedly. (Flu and DTaP.) I wanted to get the flu shot, so that was awesome. The tetanus was not mandatory, but it's been about 9 years since I had one, and I figured might as well. Now I just need to figure out a good time for the Covid shot, and an MMR, and I'll be caught up. Once the nurse was done with me, it was off to the medical assistant for a blood draw. Rather than do a PPD to check for TB, they just do titers. They also did titers for all my childhood infections--which is totally going to show that my MMR needs to be redone. It did back in 2016, and I procrastinated until I forgot about it. So that'll be another visit to get that done.

I'm feeling...not awesome after the shots. Not horrible, just kind of achy and blah. Fortunately, I have nothing I need to do today, so I'll just be taking it easy. I'm sure I can find more vacation videos to watch.

It's not at all my thing to do, but god, I appreciate the people who document their entire vacation and/or do reviews of where they stayed. It makes life so much easier to plan. Also, being neurodivergent to some degree, it soothes me to feel like I have the lay of the land.

We officially told my sister to plan to take off from December 11-15th. That's going to be Mexico. We're going to be staying at the lovely Majestic Elegance Costa Mujeres, which is an all inclusive resort about 40min north of Cancun. I've never been to Mexico, so this should be fun. I'm not going to make back the money on booze, but those restaurants had better watch out. And if I don't have to drive, I'll probably drink a little bit, same as I did at Disney. I thought about getting a condo in one of the cities, but Disney may have spoiled me a bit. I really enjoyed club level, and Disney transportation, and not having to worry about anything. I want that back. I want to just be able to walk down the hallway and get food. Walk a little farther and you've got a buffet. That sounds ideal to me.

I was thinking about flying down via Spirit, because they have direct flights from Baltimore, but they have SUCH bad ratings. It's either that, or we drive the hour and a half to Dulles and take United. I'm leaning towards that, because United has a business class. Downside, an hour and a half drive, and double the price. I'm going to have to think on it. Last night, I was all "Yay United," but today I'm like, Yay money? So I don't know.

Tomorrow, I get to drag my ass up to Harford County and fill out the paperwork to get what I put into the state pension back. Now if my two employers would fucking send my W2s, I'd be thrilled.

Everyone have an excellent Wednesday! I'ma get more coffee!

Since I *just* did this flight out of Cancun, let me assure you that the United Economy Plus class isn't worth it for this flight. The United First class might be, if you want to spend the money - the seats are significantly larger - but both planes were 737-900s, which are pretty stripped down little planes.

Also, yay! I hope you have a great time. :D
