Day two, still limping from my little swan dive down the stairs. Maybe not quite as bad, but I still don't think I'll be leaving my house. I feel guilty about this, but we have a very steep driveway, and I don't think I could get down it without a lot of pain, and I'm not sure I could get back up at all.
We got the official word that Dad is going to rehab in the next couple of days to try to get some strength built up. We're waiting to see which one. I got a call last night from King David, so we'll see if that's the one. It's a little bit of a distance away, but it has pretty good ratings on Google. Dad will be entertained that it's a primarily Jewish rehab, and my sister is entertained that it's the Rehab facility of the Baltimore Ravens.
In the ow of falling, I forgot to say that on Tuesday, we watched the new Dr. Who Christmas Episode. I don't know how it's going to be long term obviously, but Ncuti Gatwa has more charisma than any one person needs. He's just really charming, and sweet. It was a joy to watch him slip into the role. Also, I thoroughly approve of a doctor who does costume changes, and their tendency to show a little skin. You've got a Doctor with that kind of sex appeal, you might as well throw him in a kilt and sleeveless muscle shirt! All in all, I don't think I'll be fannish about it, but I'll give it a go.
Still waiting to hear something on the myriad jobs that I have applied for. I know it's the holidays, but goddamn, it's been over 2 weeks for some of them. I'm just not a patient person. I'm waiting on Hopkins and University of MD hospital to get back to me, as well as another pile of applications I've put in since then. It's just annoying.
I moved the dog's grooming to tomorrow, since I was hurting so badly. I'm hoping I'll be back to speed tomorrow. If I use a cane, I should be able to go see Dad tomorrow too. Unless he's in the rehab. Then, I might not need the cane, though I don't know how big this place is, to be fair.
But for now, I will just take it easy and be bored as hell. Everyone have an excellent Thursday!
