The cat decreed that I was up at 5:30am today, which really, c'mon Boodle. You can wait an extra half hour for food. But after three visits between 5 and 5:30, I figured it was best to drag myself upright.
Yesterday, I didn't bother to get out of my pajamas. It was good, but it probably didn't help my overall anxiety. Dad continues to be a bit of a pain. I've checked all of his vitals, plus run a urine screen, but everything is normal. But he's very uncomfortable, and requiring the urinal every couple of hours at minimum. I don't know if we're heading for a hospital visit, or if this is just a bump, but it's freaking me out a bit. I ended up popping an anti anxiety pill mid day, and then had to nap because it kind of knocked me out.
Also fueling anxiety is that I've heard nothing on any of my job apps. I was really hoping that Hopkins would get back to me yesterday, but not a peep. I basically sat on my email, waiting for something to fall out. I have an interview with Progressive Insurance today, so we'll see how that goes. It's in-office, but only in White Marsh, so that's pretty close. Like all the jobs I've applied for, it's Monday-Friday, day shift. I've had it with shit messing with my game schedule.
I know if I get the job from Hopkins, there's still a couple of hoops to jump through. They require a physical and drug screen, so it's not like I can start immediately. Especially with the holidays, I'm assuming I'd start after the new year.
Aside from that, nothing exciting is going on. We have a raft of games over the next week, as we all decided to set up games for the holidays.
poisontaster is running ones on Fri, Sat & Sun, and I'm running one on Christmas evening.
At some point next week, I need to set up my covid booster. I'm having my flu shot today, but the covid shot always kicks my ass, so I need to pick a date when I have nothing scheduled for at least two days, maybe more. Then I can get the shot, and spend two days feeling like ass. Last time, my temp got up to 102 with the shot, so we'll see what it can do this time! Should be thrilling.
Possibly, I'll get it on Thursday, in the afternoon. It usually takes about 8 hours for the side effects to kick in, so I'd be good for
coyotegestalt's game that night, but I have nothing planned for the rest of the weekend, so that's possible. Or alternately, Tuesday morning, I'll have all day Tues and Wed and most of Thursday. I will think on it.
Okay, going to get myself together for my interview. Everyone have a most excellent Tuesday!
