beansideAs usual, for our subject line, I blame Jess. On our infinite playlist (which isn't quite infinite, but is about 16 hours long) they put this song by Demon Hunter, called I Am a Stone and I instantly liked it. Then, in the excitement of the vacation, I totally forgot about it. Then, coming home from work, I heard it, and immediately had to hit the back button and listen again. Now I'm thinking about looking up more of their stuff. Dunno if I'll like it, but I'll look.
I got an 88% on my first test of the day, which counts towards my class grade. It's sitting at 90%, which is lower than I like, but still pretty good. The second test, which was on protocols, I got a 96% on. That doesn't count for the course grade, but I still had to pass with an 80%, so I'm glad. Next week, we have four days of protocols (we did medical, now we have fire and police.). So that'll be thrilling. Friday, we get to learn the software that we'll be using to do the protocols. (The classes are done on flip cards. I'm so fucking glad that I got my bifocals when I did.)
I was so tired by the time I got home. It wasn't hard, just very fiddly. I was afraid I'd bombed it, since I was the first one done, by a lot, but no, apparently not. I'm not sure I was at my finest for D&D last night, but I think I did okay?
Today, my sister is going out, so Jess and I will have Dad duty. I do have to run out to get the Russian food from the festival, but aside from that I'm in for the duration, sadly.
Tomorrow will be equally quiet, I think. My sister will go do laundry and I will relax a bit. The next test isn't til Halloween, so I'm giving myself a weekend off studying. Next weekend will be study central, though. I think I'm good enough to get through it all. I've busted my ass. Then, the real training will begin.
Okay, gonna go put my pants on. I need to stop at a couple of pharmacies for my pills on the way to the Russian Festival so I've gotta get myself together. Everyone have the best of all Saturdays!
