beansideUgh, I don't want to be up early, but the office calls. Today begins my week and some odd change of substituting for M & J who are both on vacation. Will everything actually get done? Probably not, but I'll do my best. Hopefully, delivery updates are pretty light. I've got a campaign kickoff meeting at 2:30, so that'll be thrilling. We're going to play Kahoot. I fucking hate these "Rah Us" bullshit meetings.
Yesterday was busy, as I had my normal stuff, plus the email of pickups that our OD sent. My manager asked me to create a training on how to do them, so that took a bit of time, since it's kind of a fiddly process.
The idea with that was so that someone other than me could know how to do the process, in the event I get another job. Not so sure about that now. The status message next to the TL job has disappeared. Normally, that happens when you don't get the position, but it's never disappeared before I've been told that I didn't get the job, so I have no clue. It stings more than I expected, if I did lose out. There were 12 openings! If I can't get the job with 12 openings, what does that say about me? I don't know why it's so upsetting, except that maybe I thought of this as my "safe" job. I figured "okay, so I might not get the Conshohocken job, but there's always the TL job." I don't know if I'll get called in a room to be let down easy today or not. I'm considering calling the recruiter, just to ask. But we'll see.
Oh well, at least tomorrow is D&D. I'm seriously looking forward to playing Curse of Strahd tomorrow night. I need more random violence and leering vampires in my life right now.
Okay, I'm going to hop off and start getting myself together for this day. Everyone have a wonderful Thursday!
