beansideI did not want to get up this morning. We went to bed early last night, and by 11:45, I was back awake, and didn't get much more than fitful sleep thereafter. It was annoying. This morning, I'm a little grumpy and tired, but I will persevere. I'm doing the delivery updates today at work, so hopefully I'll wake up with the application of some coffee.
Yesterday was pretty quiet, I mostly did busywork and was deeply pissed about it. So, before the reorganization, my job title was "specialist". After the reorg, we're "generalists." There are still specialists, but they get paid considerably more than I do. The one queue I help out in is a little overgrown, so they got some of the specialists to help out. I don't know what the fuck they were doing. I spent yesterday trying to fix the shit they'd done. It's like they missed a few steps of the process, but I helped write the training so I know the correct process was given to them. I should not have to follow up on the specialists work. It's bullshit.
Unfortunately, our MotW game tomorrow had to be cancelled, due to the DM having a nasty spring cold. However, she asked me if I'd be willing to run a oneshot so people would have a game, so I'm running a Monster of the Week game called Beach Blanket Brutality. Despite the name, it looks like a fun romp through the tropes of surfing movies with a touch of 70's horror. Hopefully, I'm right and everyone has a good time. Then, it's onto a three game weekend, with two games on Saturday. I have so much prep work to do on Friday; it's going to be a busy day.
I also need to get stuff together for my CONFab panel on Friday. I don't fancy the idea of cramming it all in the Friday before the con starts, but it would not surprise me if that's what happens, just because there's not that much time in the day.
Priorities:
Reread Beach Blanket Brutality for tomorrow
Create a character sheet for Strahd for Friday night, since the spells they gave him in the module are balls.
Reread the Wizard of Wines section of Strahd for Friday night.
Read Dungeon of the Mad Mage for Saturday morning. All of it.
Touch up my notes for the OG MotW game on Saturday afternoon.
Write notes for RPF panel and figure out what points I want to hit.
Reread Too Many Draculas for the CONFab game.
It doesn't look like that much, but #4 is a big module, so it's going to take a little time to read it all. And of course, there's visits to Dad on Wednesday and Friday in there, so that's a little less time that I have. It's going to be a very busy couple of weeks.
Okay, I guess having said that, I'm going to hop off for the half hour before I have to start work, and maybe read something. Everyone have the best Tuesday!
