beansideThursday accomplished! I did all my running around and then fell into bed early. Jess had their post op appointment, and is doing well. They are able to do things to their comfort level, though I believe they will minimize physical exertion and heavy lifting for a couple of more weeks. The biopsies showed endometriosis, which we kinda figured, since things were stuck to other things, and that's kind of a hallmark. Their uterine polyp was 100% benign, which made me very happy. So, all in all, treatment is up to Jess. Everything boils down to "it's just pain." There are things that might help, but they all have side effects. Birth control would help, but that has historically not done nice things for their mental health, so it's something to think on. The less exciting thing is knowing that the endo will come back, and they may have to do another surgery to clean it out, possibly in a couple of years.
Once we got back from that, I went and saw Dad, who was in an "Everything is stupid" mood. Some of therapy is stupid. His breakfast was late, and he thinks the eggs are powdered. From the sound of it, he's actually doing the therapy, so that's a start. Once we got done with the bitching, he was in a pretty good mood, so it wasn't too painful.
I have basically picked my outfit for my interview. I think i'm going to go with a skirt and blouse with stompy boots. Or alternately, I could go with pants and blouse and stompy boots. I'm definitely going with the boots that make me strut like Bucky Barnes. They make me feel more confident. Jess has offered to let me borrow their Betsey Johnson boots, which are yellow plaid patent leather and 100% awesome.
After thinking it about for a while, it seemed weird not to have a Friday night game, so I decided to do a one shot. It looks like a fun one, so hopefully it'll be a fun few hours.
Okay, time to get some more coffee and wake the fuck up. Have a good Friday, everyone!
