Tuesday has arrived, and I want a nap. The overall coughing is better, but now I'm getting this horrible tickle in my throat that is just wrecking me. I feel bad for poor Jess who has to listen to it. I'm sure I kept waking them up with it. Aside from that, I'm just tired. I'd forgotten how annoying the Covid fatigue could be. I have absolutely no appetite at all, which is also obnoxious. Crackers taste okay, but actual food, not so much. I'm definitely improving, I'm just a really shitty patient.
Today, I shall have Delivery Updates at work, as M. will be out. I don't really feel like I have the brain cells for that, but I shall persevere, but I will definitely be needing more coffee.
I have to find time to call Dad's case manager to get a bit of an update. By his admission, he's been struggling in therapy due to pain, so I want to discuss that with them too. Tomorrow, I will return to the rotation and go visit him, having completed my quarantine, and testing negative again.
The last of our pre-Disney stuff came yesterday. I got some anti-chafing cream, just in case. We both have scooters, but we'll probably walk the ride queues, so it'll be good to have the protection just in case. There's nothing worse than chub rub on your thighs.
Apparently the scooters we got are rated for 19miles, so that should be good. Most people walk about 7-10 miles a day in Disney. If I have to stop to charge it during the day, that's entirely doable.
I am more than happy to get a pastrami egg roll and pull over for a little while while it charges.
I'm sorry we got Covid, of course, but I'm glad if we did, it was a few weeks before vacation. One so it'll be done by then, and two because I'll still have some extra immunity going on.
I'm at the point where I'm double checking my reservations over and over, especially my car rental. I booked at the height of the gas price debacle, so the rate was super low and I don't want to lose that. Here's hoping, unlike last time I rented from them, they actually have the car I asked for. Last time, I was supposed to get an SUV, and they only had a compact car and a big-ass truck. I'm pretty narrow on what I'm willing to accept this time. I'm driving 14 hours. It needs to either be the subcompact SUV, a regular SUV or a minivan. That's about all I'm comfortable with.
I can't believe we're only 17 days from vacation. That's barely over two weeks. I want to start packing now.
Okay, time to get myself together for work. Everyone have a terrific Tuesday!
