First up, it's that time of year again! If anyone wants a holiday card, I put up a post to get names and addresses, which can be found right here!. Consider this the bump for the morning crowd!
My sister got home midday and we happily relinquished the Adultiest Adult mantle for a while. Sounded like she had a lovely time, and ate some really good food, so that's good. Went to bed early, in my own bed, and woke up at 1, certain that it was 6. Had some trouble getting back to sleep, and finally gave up about five. I still feel better rested than I did yesterday, so that's something. Boodle was appreciative that we were back in our bed, and slept on me for a good chunk of time before moving to lay between Jess' and my feet. It was very sweet.
Work was mostly boring. I got my stuff out of the way quickly, and then did...nothing. For hours on end. Today, I will probably have to find something to do, since markets won't come in until after we're gone. Probably will be pending returns, but they're also hot to get casework down to a manageable level, so we shall see.
There are currently 12 days left in my 40's. This is kind of weirding me out in a way that the 40's didn't. There are 61 days until Disney to celebrate my 50th and Jess' 40th. What is time and how does it seem to go so fast yet slow all at once?
Tomorrow is reservation day. I think we've finally got shit figured out now. Saturday, arrival, hopefully by around 4pm. Sunday, Animal Kingdom, then Boma for dinner. Monday, Epcot, with Chefs de France for lunch. Back to hotel for a couple of rest hours, then back for extended evening hours. Tuesday, Magic Kingdom, with some rest time, then back for extended evening hours. No particular dining plans that day. Wednesday, resort day, maybe massages at the Grand Floridian. Rest. Dinner at Ohana. Thursday, Hollywood Studios, no dining plans, Friday, Short Magic Kingdom visit in the morning, then tattoos, then California Grill for dinner and hopefully fireworks. Saturday, leave to go home and be depressed.
I heard back from my tattoo artist. What I've asked for will run me about $250 and take 2 hrs to do. I can totally deal with both of those. Unfortunately, Jess' original artist made a mistake on dates, and will not be available, so we'll be going to the same artist, as long as he has time. I'm waiting to hear back from him now. I'm assuming Jess' will take a little longer, and be a touch more expensive, since theirs is a little more detailed.
They decided on a sword wrapped with briar roses, in honor of our longest running D&D game, which is going to hit 2 years on January 1st. I gave them a Holy Avenger sword, which is kind of the top of the line for paladins, and they asked me what it looked like. The only question remaining is what color roses they're going to get. I decided to commemorate both turning 50, and going to Disney, so I'm doing an outline of the castle over a rainbow watercolor background.
Okay, time for me to go forth and get myself together. Have a good Monday everyone!
