Yet another morning that came very early. Sundays are always a little strange, since it's the one day that no one else is up in the morning. It means a quiet morning, where all I need to do is make the coffee, feed the cat and sit down. No one is going to try to talk to me. I appreciate that. I had three days off from work, but it just wasn't enough. I wanted another day or two. Reality is that if I'd taken another day, I'd be bored. The only reason I wasn't on those three days is because we had stuff to do.

Yesterday, I ended up going back to bed shortly after I posted because I could not keep my eyes open. I slept for an hour and felt much less sleepy, thankfully. Then, I got my shit together for the day. The Russian festival was fairly quiet, since we went just after they opened, and we got our food, and also a glass of black currant tea that was amazing. I already put a box into my Amazon cart. Then we came home and stuffed ourselves. Jess and I had Shaslik, which is a marinated pork shish kebab with rice. I have no idea what they put in the rice, but it's awesome. The pork was juicy and flavorful and I ate the whole thing, despite it being like six chunks of meat, each bigger than a child's fist. Then, because I wasn't stuffed enough, I ate one of my sweet cheese blinchiki. All in all, it was a successful Russian Festival.

Then, it was game time. I had half an hour to review the first bits of the module, and then it was time to play. It was the opening of Waterdeep: Dragon Heist, which looks to be a fun game. It starts off with a bar brawl, and kind of flings you into the story from there. We were playing with Jess' friends from Undertale fandom, with the addition of the lovely [personal profile] poisontaster, who agreed to fill out the party a touch. Even with her along, it's still a much smaller party than I'm used to!

Once we finished that, I relaxed on the couch for a few minutes, until the nagging need to get myself sorted for work kicked in, and I braved moving the monitors, dock and my computer over to the new desk. Fortunately, it went relatively easily, and after some minor testing, it looks like I'm ready for work in the new set up.

The next big task will be to take apart the other desk, to get it out of my office. It will be replaced by a nice sized cat tree for Boodle to come in and take advantage of the morning sun coming in the window. And for me, now the morning sun won't be haloing my monitors and making it hard to see. I'm looking forward to that.

Today shall probably be a boring day. My coworker J is out, so that's one less person to talk to, and I shall have his markets to do as well, so that might take me an extra hour. Probably less, but we shall see. Aside from that, I don't have a whole lot else to do today. Maybe I'll work on the pending queue if I get bored.

Okay, time for me to get myself together and maybe have another cup of coffee. Have an excellent Sunday!
