Already Sunday? Eew. I was less than thrilled with my alarm going off this morning. It's just so damn cheery, vibrating and making a plinky little tune. I could change it to something else, I suppose. I just can't think of any song that I really want to hear at six am every day. There's not really any melody that's going to make me go "Yay, I get to be awake now!" I know from experience that neither the Guns and Roses version of Sympathy for the Devil, nor the Grey's Anatomy version of How to Save a Life did that. I will think on it, but for now, the plinky music stays.

Yesterday was so much fun! But by the time we finished all I wanted to do was crawl into bed. I could totally do two games in a day again, but probably not on a regular basis. But it was awesome.

The first game was with Jess' friends. We were running Death House from Curse of Strahd. It's gone pretty well so far, and has been pretty fun, despite the fact that it is kind of bleak as hell. Sad dead children, creepy house of long-dead family, various nasty creatures. They're a little higher level than suggested, since the module is set for it to be a first level dungeon, but that way lays madness and a total party kill. We finished the upper levels of the house, and will explore the dungeon next week.

Next up was Monster of the Week, which was as usual somewhat buck wild. I'm glad if I was going to have games back to back, the second was MotW, since that requires the least direction. My party has worked together for two years now, and so I thrown a complication and they take care of the rest. They first half hour especially was so much mayhem. The bad guys now have the location of the Expert's apartment, as our heroes were nearly defeated by Air Tags, and the her next door neighbor was kidnapped as a surety for good behavior.

They went on a grand rescue mission, and saved her, while murdering a lot of people, which is hilarious, since many moons ago, there was a huge quandary over killing an evil preacher, and now they're like "murder time!" They saved a lot of supernatural beings as well as Mrs. Cruz (the entirely non supernatural neighbor) and extracted a favor from a frequent foe of theirs, who found himself in captivity. Since said foe is the brother of the Winter Queen, that means she owes them that favor as well. Our Flake really shined in this mystery as she hacked the shit out of the laboratory's computer system and downloaded all their data and suppressed their fire system so the place could be lit up with Molotov cocktails.

Today, we have what will probably be the final session of Witchlight, which is a little bittersweet. It's not my favorite module, but we've been playing it for over a year now, and I'll still be a little sorry to see the end. We will probably have one more game with the characters, as I'm going to come up with a fight-y adventure, as they've been doing the pacifist run, and everyone's a little curious how the characters will do in combat. The pacifist run has really been tough for me as DM, because while the book says that you can do a pacifist run, it assumes combat for some things, and I've had to come up with creative ways to avoid that.

But first, work. It shouldn't be too bad today hopefully. I should have all my reports to work, which will keep me busy for a little while, and from having to do other stuff that I don't enjoy. I suppose first, I should get myself together. Have a wonderful Sunday!
