beansideOh thank fuck, it's Friday! This week dragged on forever.
Yesterday was SO slow, y'all. I didn't have that much to do, so it seemed to take roughly 20 hours. I actually considered using sick time and leaving early. Then, the coworker who does the delivery updates left, so I decided to stay. It didn't give me anything extra to do, honestly, the updates were pretty light. Instead, I mostly sat there and resented being stuck in the office.
It's funny, when they first announced that we were coming back one day a week, I thought okay. It might even be nice to get out of the house one day a week. In reality, I hate it and resent it so fucking much. It just sucks so much and I hate that no one else wears a mask. I mean, I hate wearing a mask, too, but my family and my health are more important than my comfort.
Yoda had an upset tummy yesterday, so he is not getting shots today. Instead, he's going to the vet next week, just to be sure. So, I only have to take Dad to the foot doctor, which is nice. I will have a little break until this afternoon. Of course, today Yoda seems fine, but I'd rather not risk it.
Then, tonight, D&D! And MotW tomorrow! I spent my break yesterday plotting out MotW, so I just need to do a little refining of that today, and I'll be ready. I've been prepped for Frostmaiden tonight, so that's good. I will probably reread the module we're starting next week today as well. Lost Mines of Phandelver is an easy game to run, but I still want to be ready. It's totally set up as Baby's First D&D, including having multiple entries for the first time DM on how to run it, so it probably won't require quite as heavy lifting as Frostmaiden did or Strahd will.
The characters are slowly coming together for both Lost Mine and Strahd. So many cool characters! My players have such endless creativity. I look forward to making them suffer.
