So, we can all agree that yesterday sucked. I mean, we all knew it was coming, but watching Roe get struck down still really stung. And Thomas' opinion that we should revisit contraception, sodomy and gay marriage laws scared the shit out of me.

The truth is that even if the worst comes to pass, we'll be okay. MD passed marriage laws on the popular vote, and IKEA has had domestic partner benefits for decades before that, so not much will change except at tax season. So we'll be okay. Doesn't change the fear, though.

We took Yoda to his grooming appointment as planned. It was so much easier at the new place, and they were really nice. When his new groomer put her hand down to sniff, he actually wagged his tail once, and went off with her without even a little fuss. Now he's all soft and smells like Axe cologne. He does have a raw spot by his eye, but that's not because of her. He gets eye boogers, and then he rubs his face and sometimes it pulls the hair out and makes a sore spot. Poor baby has allergies like his parents. He's a very handsome lad and was all proud of himself when he got home.

We watched the first episode of the Umbrella Academy, and I'm still loving the show. Somehow, it's always easy to fall right back into it. Neither of us had much focus, so we only watched the one ep, but I'm looking forward to the rest.

Then, still needing a distraction, I did what I do best. I went on Roll20, and started shopping for one shot D&D modules. We didn't have a game planned for last night, but I needed the distraction, and I figured other people might as well. I found an absolutely delightful dungeon crawl called Graveyard Shift that was $5. And then, I put the call out on Discord, fully believing that I might get two players.

I got five, y'all. People rescheduled watch parties to play. The module said it was for 2-6 players, so it worked out well. We did not get through the whole module, so we set up a time to finish it in a few weeks. It's a nice independent module, but has everything you need for a quick set up game. I chose it mostly because the logo for the company had a rainbow ally symbol on the front page, and it promised that the premade characters were inclusive. We didn't use the premades, but it's nice that they mentioned it on the blurb.

SO far, it's been a lot of fun, and I don't see any reason that the big finish won't be as well. It kept me from doomscrolling for three hours, which was my thought behind it. All and all, do recommend WriteOn Games for Roll20.

Today, I have to pick up my sister from her oil change, as she doesn't feel like waiting, and then take her back to get the car when it's done. Aside from that, not a whole lot planned. We'll think of something, I'm sure.

Okay, time to get some more coffee and do my best not to doomscroll for a little while. Have a good Saturday, y'all!

Hi, I’ve been a lurker for awhile now. I just wanted to say “hi” and that if you ever find yourself in Southern MD, check out Bard’s Bistro. It’s adjacent to High Tide games. The food is good and the people are friendly. It’s sort of a D&D restaurant. I know you play and it’s a new favorite place of mine.
