beansideAnd we're back to Monday. I really didn't want to get up, as I had a kitty flopped across my stomach quietly snoring when the alarm went off. I really hated to disturb her, but she'd been there for a little over an hour, so she had a nice nap. I came up and gave her breakfast, so I think she forgave me.
Work was boring as fuck yesterday. I had the project to work on, but it's something a trained monkey could probably do, so not the most stimulating. I worked on it off and on, but had trouble focusing. I'm trying to be gentle with myself this week, as things are bound to be a little off until things are settled. Friends of mine have their meetings tomorrow, so I might know which way the wind is blowing by then.
After work, I did the good daughter thing and fired up the grill to make dad's favorite meal--hamburgers. We're high class, y'all. Thankfully, it was lovely out, with a nice breeze. I appreciated that it wasn't a million degrees. And I have a couple leftover patties that I can have for breakfast/lunch today.
Today shall be another boring day. I shall idly work on the project, and try to stay awake. Okay, honestly, I'll probably do a couple cases, play on tiktok for a while, and so on. The project is huge, so there's no way I'm going to get it all done, even if I worked straight through.
This is going to be a long week. Apparently the managers don't even get their offer letters til the morning before we do, which sounds insane to me. That's what we really want: them to be in a shitty mood while they're giving us our letters. This is sure to go well. I think they'll get their offers, then after they've signed, they'll be handed ours. That way they won't have our stuff weighing on them for days on end. They'll get the letters that morning, and hand them out through the day. I just wish they weren't doing it alphabetically, because that sucks for those of us at the far end of the alphabet. My meeting isn't until 3:00pm, so I get to spend the entire day in the office worrying.
Okay, time to get myself together for another fun day. Have the best Monday!
