beansideAnd today is back to work, boo. I really wasn't happy when the alarm went off at 6, but alas, here I am upright. I'm sure I'm going back to a million emails, which will be fun. Oh well, I'll deal. I trust that coworker J did all my markets, so I know I'm not walking in on a huge mess. My markets should be just fine which I appreciate. Tomorrow, I know M is off, so I'll be doing the delivery updates the day I'm in the office, which should be fun. Hopefully, updates are light.
Yesterday was a quiet day. Jess did laundry and I mostly kind of piddled around. I found I didn't have the attention span to watch even a stupid movie, so I kind of paced the internet and took care of Dad.
That's not true. I did do some minor adulty things. I called the vet's office to cancel Sam's follow up (ouch) and I cancelled my MRI for Friday, since I'm going to wait til I see the neurologist, in case they want to add something in. I'm a little claustrophobic, so if I can do it as a one and done, I'd prefer it.
I also called the ER vet, because for the life of me, I couldn't remember how long they said it would be until Sam's ashes were ready. 7-10 days, apparently. I completely blanked on if they told me that while we were there.
I was reminded that I need to be kind to myself and feel the way I need to feel, but I'm not really good at that. I just miss him. Looking back at older pictures, it's obvious how sick he was. He's been very slowly, but steadily losing weight for about 2-3 years, which is about the timeline the vet had mentioned for intestinal lymphoma. Until recently, we thought he was just getting old man skinny. Then, we assumed it was his hypothyroid. And part of it definitely was, it just wasn't the only thing.
Okay, I'm going to go have some coffee and debate on the merits of getting dressed. Ew. Have a good Wednesday everyone!
