So, yesterday was kind of a shitshow, though everything worked out okay. It took about an hour and a half on the phone between Express Scripts and my doctors office to get shit worked out. And I had to be a little bit unpleasant on the phone with the doctors, which I hate. I'm not a confrontational person, but this has been going on nearly a week, so it was time to stop being customer service friendly. Apparently, it worked, because I got a call from Express-Scripts within three hours that the prescription had been approved. I must have made an impression, because five minutes later, the doctors office called as well. So, now it's a race between my dwindling supply of pills and the shipment. They said 7 days, and I had 8 pills, so hopefully, we're good.
Then it was onto the dog and his poopy butt. It was starting to look a little red, so to the vet we went. I, being a total wuss, sat in the waiting room while Jess went back with him. The vet was kind of an asshole, telling them that the dog is fat (no shit) and we should just "Shave him." Why didn't we think of that? If he'd let us near his butt we would, but that isn't happening. That's why we're fucking paying you, asshole. Of course, he behaves for the vet, so it seems like it would be an easy fix, but it's really fucking not. The rest of the night, the dog was uncomfortable, and stress panting, which makes you feel really good about yourself as a dog parent. I did just peek in on him and it seems like he's sleeping well on my sister's bed, so that's something. Hopefully, he's feeling better today.
We got to that vet because they can get him in quickly, but I'm really not a huge fan of them, I've gotta say.
We did find time to watch the first episode of Peacemaker, which was suitably bonkers. If the stars align, we'll probably try to watch another episode today.
It's supposed to be cold as balls today, so going out to pick up the groceries from Walmart will be fun.
Okay, time to go forth and consider getting myself together. Have a good Saturday, everyone!
