Why is it morning? I did not sleep worth a damn. I fell asleep just fine, but then I woke up at midnight, and that was about it. I gave up around 2 and played on my phone for a little while, but I was afraid it was going to disturb Jess, so I put it back away and laid there until 6. Maybe I dozed a little, but not much if so. I am tired and grumpy and generally meh today.
Of course, the first thing my sister informed me is that we had enough coffee for one pot, but nothing more. Fortunately, we actually had a brick in another cabinet, but that did not make me any less grumpy.
Work will be fun today, I'm sure. Yesterday was boring as all fuck. I did very little, and that was exhausting. My markets didn't come in before I'd left, so at least I'll have something to do this morning.
I haven't had the energy to really restart Swedish classes. There's a free one offered by the Swedish Government, so I'll probably do that. It's a video and text class so maybe I'll work on that during my downtime at work.
Or, the other option is that I can use my "lifestyle" credit to purchase lessons. It's a thing IKEA instituted this year. $175 added to our Flex spending account that we can basically use for anything that will make us happy. They suggest concert tickets, or gym membership, but this would definitely qualify. Actually, IKEA has tuition reimbursement for certificate courses. I wonder if there's a class that would qualify. Probably not, but it might be worth looking into. The local community college has some interesting languages, though I don't know if Swedish is one of them.
Part of my plotting is looking at our want ads in areas of Sweden that I'd be okay with going to, just to see what I'll need. Of course, yesterday, I found the job I want available in a suburb of Stockholm. It's a relatively new store, and they need multiple team leads. I was good and didn't apply, but there was that momentary wild urge. I would never do that to Jess, though. When we move, it'll be together.
Dad was especially annoying yesterday. Now that I've baked a few times, he seems to regard me as a muffin vending machine. I haven't baked for a few days because it's been so bitterly cold, and we have to turn off one of the heaters to turn on the oven or the circuit will blow. If he tells me "Get cracking, Betty Crocker," one more time...
Okay, enough babbling. Time to get ready for work. Have a good Tuesday everyone!
