beansideWhy is it morning? I am just very sluggish this morning. The alarm at 6am just seemed punitive. I seriously considered hitting snooze and sleeping til 7, but I didn't. If I had, I'd just end up feeling rushed and out of sorts, so I was good. Tomorrow, I will sleep in a little on my day off. Of course, because it's my day off, I'll probably be wide awake at 5, because that's how my brain works.
As expected, yesterday at work was boring as hell. I had nothing to do until about 2pm, whereupon everything came in at once. It still wasn't a whole lot and I had it done in time for my Equality, Diversity & Inclusion meeting. The meeting just reminded me how much I hate icebreakers, as it forces me to talk. In this case, the icebreaker was "tell us a song that defines you or that has earwormed you this year. Like I want to share my shitty musical taste with the world? Especially since most of the newer music I find is from vidders, so it's kind of difficult to say how I found it. I finally went with "Lions Inside" which is from an awesome MCU video.
After that, I only had an hour and a half left to screw around until it was time to leave, so that wasn't bad.
Today, we have a team meeting, so that's always fun. In that way that it's usually an hour of bitching. Though one of the prime complainers is out on vacation, so it might not be horrible.
I went out to fetch dinner last night, and between the heavy traffic and stupid people, came back with a horrible headache and the feeling that something was gnawing on the bones in my neck. Fortunately, we have heat wraps and ibuprofen, so I'm feeling mostly normal today.
I have written out most of my cards to send! This makes me happy. There may be a few more that dribble in, but we'll see.
Okay, time to get myself in gear for work. More coffee is in order. Have a good Thursday, y'all.
