And it is Friday! And it's D&D night! Yay! Fun will be had!
I did all my errands yesterday. First I dressed up for performative normalcy with my shrink. I mean, I really am doing well on my meds, but somehow I feel like I need to look aggressively put together to be worthy of continuing my normal treatment. So, I put on nice jeans and a nice top and off I went. As usual, I got their thoroughly early, and had time to grab a fast food breakfast.
No problem, got my meds called in, all went well. I guess I get anxious about it, because this shrink is still relatively new to me. I've only seen him three times. In February, I have to go see a new primary care doctor and that will be a shitshow for me. I will be a fucking wreck.
Took the cat to the vet, and the doctor has given him a preliminary diagnosis of hyperthyroidism. Labs will come back today. He was skinnier than I thought, and I felt like a total asshole for not taking him sooner. The vet was so nice, told me that cats are difficult, because they mask how they feel, and it's hard to tell when you see them every day. So that was really kind of her. Now I just wait for the results to come back, so we can get him started on meds.
It was much less expensive than I expected, which was nice, but also gave me the sneaking suspicion that we were taken for a ride with Grace. We went to a different vet who had a sooner appointment, and it was over three times as much, even though it was the same lab tests. They didn't do an xray on Sam, but I feel like it still would have been much less expensive. So, y'know that was a little infuriating. Especially since Grace passed two weeks later.
Today, I have no plans until the aforementioned D&D, except to jump for my phone every time it rings, hoping it'll be the labs. And I guess going out to get whatever prescription Sam needs.
Looks like the rest of the Christmas presents will arrive around December 9th. This also includes the little red top I got that I think will make my boobs look fabulous. My winter boots arrived yesterday, and do not fit. Boo. I may take them back to Torrid today. We shall see how motivated I feel. The search will continue for wide width winter boots that won't break the bank.
Time for more coffee now. Everyone have a great Friday!
