I am so over this back thing. It's much better than it was, but still there. I can't remember it lasting this long last time. I'm not good at enforced downtime, but I'm stuck with it. I have things that I would like to do, but I can't. (Sitting on the sofa for extended periods being one of them.) My back does not like the sofa, and it has low arms that make it not great for pushing up. So, I'm stuck in my office chair, where I can use the desk to help get up. It works, but it's a little isolating.

Other things I'm tired of--the cold. For those following along, due to a long stretch of problems, we don't have gas service, and are making do with space heaters. They're not the greatest, and as a result, we all spend a lot of time being cold. We're hoping to get the cleaning company in some time in the next two weeks to do an estimate to do mold remediation from the flood. Once that's done, we can get Baltimore Gas and Electric in to finally change our meter and turn the gas back on. Unless BGE comes up with another hoop for us to jump through, which would not surprise me at all.

Work was fine yesterday. All the markets came in relatively early, so I got them done, once in the morning, since the day before was late, and then in the afternoon when the new ones came in. Hopefully, they'll come in relatively early again today, so I can get them done.

I have the day off tomorrow for my once every three month psych appointment, so I'd like to get my markets done today and not leave them for my coworker. He has enough to do. Yes, I'm aware that I do all of his whenever he's out, but I don't like being a burden. Which is kind of a theme for me, I'm aware.

The first of the Christmas presents has arrived! My sister's big present showed up around 3pm yesterday. Now if all the rest would get here. I'm watching the tracking, but it is slow. I am not good at patience, but I'm trying.

Yesterday, I got tickets to opening weekend of Spider-Man. I don't know if we'll go or not yet. It'll depend on the Maryland Covid positivity rating and how we feel. It's the first show on a Saturday morning, and we're in a back row set of three chairs, so the third shouldn't be full, but I just don't know. Spidey is my long time favorite, and I was really bummed about not seeing the movie since it was kindly coming out on my birthday, but on the other hand, Covid,. *sigh* It's hard to weigh risk when you really want to do a thing. I think I'll probably end up deferring to Jess on it, since they have no particular attachment to the character that I'm aware of.

Plan "get us back in the office" is apparently still on, but with no date mentioned yet. I'm hoping with all the variants and what not that they wait until the end of flu season, but we'll have to see. Tertial 2 was mentioned, which runs from January to April, so hopefully, it's the later part of that. I'm also hoping that it's part time back in the office--maybe two or three days a week. My Equality, Diversity and Inclusion meeting this month is virtual, so that may be a good sign. I'm just happy that I don't have to go in the office.

Okay, got to go get myself together for work. Everyone have a lovely day!
