On and on...

As per the norm as of late, to borrow a phrase, the light at the end of the tunnel was that freight train that just knocked us all back on our asses.

After a record breaking 20 hours at home, Grandmom's back in the hospital. She's having a pacemaker implanted at 6:30 tonight. I think I should be more afraid than I am, but I'm just tired. I'm so tired of seeing Good Sam hospital, I'm tired of being afraid, and I'm tired of waiting for the next ass kicking. So, I'm not going to dwell on it. I can't change anything, I can just say a prayer and hope for the best, and roll with whatever will come.

So, instead, let me talk of happier things.

First up, dude. One more day til X2! I am a huge comic book geek, and all the buzz I've heard around this one says that it's going to be the one. So, assuming things go well, I'm planning on hitting a show tomorrow night...unless I get really really ambitious and go to the midnight show tonight. Not likely, though, due to the fact that I was out late last night seeing...

The Foo Fighter's concert!

Oh, I so heart Dave Grohl right now. He's a fucking psychopath, but I just adore him. Dave, being that Fairfax, Va is his home town, was totally psyched up. He hit the stage running, and didn't stop for an hour and a half. Taylor seemed to really be into it, too, and the others just followed along.

There was an extended drum/guitar duel, which involved Dave wandering off the stage, into the stands, through the crowd. He went to the back of the arena, and he and Taylor proceeded to mock-glare at each other in a most slashy way. Then, back into the crowd to make his way back along the other side of the arena (I touched Dave's butt, I touched Dave's butt) and back to the stage, where they proceeded to make Jess and I just gape at the pure slash.

Since it was general admission, we got there nice and early, which meant that we had front row in the stands, about ten feet from the edge of the stage. It was a beautiful thing, we could see everything, from the curve of Taylor's hipbones under his shorts, to Dave's incredible lack of ass in otherwise tight jeans. Also, Nate and Chris are just cute as they can be.

Midway through the last song, the PA blew out, and we were treated to an improving version of Dave that was possibly one of the cutest things. Then, once they got it back on, they kindly played us two more songs, so that we'd leave happy.

I'm sure I'll think of other things to tell you all about it, but for now, I'll leave it there, and leave some for Jess to tell. *grin*

Thank you, she seems to be doing okay so far, pacemaker is duly implanted, so we're crossing our fingers. Again.

And we shall see. The Foo Musi may be coming.

I'm praying for your grandmother and hoping for the best.

And awwwwww, to the Foo Fighter goodness! Not really into the slash, but I think they're one of the coolest bands out there. Dave Grohl is funny as hell and writes really good music, so it's hard not to like him or his band.

Thanks, sweetie. So far, so good, we'll see how this helps!

And I wasn't too sure of the slash until that duel. Then they were just too slashy not to.

So, wasn't Gambit supposed to be in this? What happened?

I think, if you look, during one scene, you get a glimpse of him on a monitor bank.

I know you see Hank McCoy, but I'll have to be looking for Gambit tonight.
