beansideWhy are Mondays? I totally wanted to sleep another couple of hours, but I dragged myself upright, grumbling mightily. Now I'm one cup of coffee down, and I still want to go back to sleep. This will probably persist until I go to bed tonight.
I've mostly recovered from the Covid shot, though I still was running a low grade fever last night. Now, it's just the injection site hurting and itching. Itches like a motherfucker, but of course, if I try to scratch, it hurts. Always fun.
Work was work yesterday. Got my markets done and then cleared out another set of reports, because there was only one coworker in the office to do them. Honestly, she should have been able to handle them in my opinion, but she's slow at making cases. We're talking like glacial slow. So, I did a bunch of them, which are not my favorite, but my manager asked for help, so I jumped in.
By the end of the day, I was wiped out, I will say. We ended up ordering pizza, because I did not have the energy to cook.
Rather than sit out and hand out candy, we put a bowl on our porch. I haven't looked yet to see how it fared. When I peeked out around 8:30 there was still some candy in it, so I'm thinking it was okay. Thankfully, this kept the entire evening from turning into bark o' clock as Yoda tried to protect us from all the tiny murderers.
Today, I'm not expecting there to be a whole lot to do at work, barring projects. The markets always come in late on Monday.
Jess has their Covid shot today, then their weed re-certification appointment, which is thankfully virtual. Hopefully, they continue to have a mostly mild reaction to the shot.
After a long break, D&D is coming up this Friday! It's so nice to see the counter on Roll20 in the single digits. I've missed it a lot. I'm sure the next few months during the holidays are going to be difficult to schedule, so it may be sporadic, but we'll manage.
