beansideAs usual, on Sunday, the alarm goes off super early, or at least it feels like it. I don't mind it once I actually hurl my ass out of bed. It's quiet and still, only the screaming of the cats to break the solitude, and once they're fed, it's just me. On weekdays when I get up, my sister has been up around an hour already, so she's usually chatty. I get a short stretch from when she leaves for work until I have to start work to get myself in the right headspace. But on Sundays, I have the full two hours to work myself around to it.
On Thursday, I had a low blood sugar day. I'm weird, I usually can feel it when it goes below 100, and it was stubbornly holding in the 90's. It seems to have been a one day thing, because Friday and Saturday, it's been back in a normal range for me, which means around 120. Rybelsus works exceedingly well for me. It's forced my pancreas to work like it's supposed to. I've even been able to go off Metformin. (Which honestly, wasn't doing that much anyway.)
I wasn't able to get an appointment with the new doctor until February for a routine appointment (they said if I have a problem, they'll work me in sooner.) I think I may talk to them about dropping my blood pressure medicine some. It's been running on the lower side, and sometimes when I get up quickly, I have that moment of dizzy. Nothing major, but annoying. They may not want to drop it because I'm fat and obviously, I can't be healthy, but we shall see.
Last night, we had the best food. I had a craving for Filipino barbecue, so we went to Mama Rosa's Grill and got their big meal pack. It came with what seemed like 2 rotisserie chickens, a whole tilapia, ten sticks of barbecued pork, 10 lumpiang shanghai (Which are like egg rolls of a sort) and rice and steamed eggplant. It was a lot of food. My sister, Jess and I feasted while Dad picked at the tilapia. It was so good! And the best thing is that we have leftovers for the next couple of days! And honestly, one stick of the barbecue is enough for a meal for me. (I know what I'm having for breakfast!)
Okay, it's about time for me to grab more coffee, and start thinking about starting up my PC for work. Everyone have a lovely Sunday!
