What a long fucking week.

Grandmom's still in the hospital, though at this point it's mostly to get her strength back up. It was pretty damned scary for a while--they were talking about blocked carotid arteries and surgery, which is not a good idea for an 89 year old woman. She was really disoriented and spacy, too, which upset me a lot. I have a serious terror of mental incapacity as I get older, and I look at Grandmom and think "That'll be me in 50 years."

Fortunately, they don't think they need to do surgery, and she's back to her normal self, so it's a good thing. Right now, they're just trying to get her strength back before they send her home.

Yeesh. I'd like four or five trauma free months, please?

*sigh* Didn't think so. Dammit, the Goddess says that there'll be an easing of burdens and great joy by August. I want my fucking great joy and easing of burdens.

hey there hon. I'm glad your grandmother is doing better. I'll keep thinking good thoughts for you both--her that she gets plenty strong soon and can finish getting stronger at home, and you that your august bounty comes early, seeing as how you really deserve it.
