A little sad today, and missing a rusty meow when I called the shitbabies to their morning meal. I'm not hugely surprised--I didn't think we'd have that long with her after this last bit, but I didn't expect it now. She seemed to be doing so much better, prowling around the house and climbing on Dad. I'm torn between being heartbroken that I wasn't here when she died, and being pathetically grateful that I didn't have to deal with it.

Today, however, will be a busy day. Gotta do laundry, since my sister was kind of a wreck yesterday, we said we'd do it today. And gotta take Gracie to the pet crematorium. First, I've got to figure out where we're going for the cremation. So once businesses open, I'll be making some calls. There's one that's pretty close to us, so I'll probably end up going there.

It was a shitty end to what was an otherwise awesome vacation. So, I'm going to try not to dwell on that, and instead, I'm going to think about three glorious days away from stress. My one stated goal for the vacation was to see if my wide ass fit on Apollo's Chariot, and it did, and I rode it, and it was amazing. I can't wait to go back and ride it again. Maybe in the front row, so I can see it coming for me. It's a tall fucking coaster, y'all. The summit is 210 feet above the ground, so you just go up and up and up. Then, it's a plunge down and a lot of little bunny hills that kick you out of your seat. Even though the lap bar was firmly planted on me, I still came out of my seat a little bit. And at the end, when the car pulled back into the station, I felt so good. So much adrenaline and happiness that I'd gotten to do the one thing I really, really wanted to.

And the condo was just gorgeous. A fully stocked kitchen so we could have our coffee in the morning. Plenty of good restaurants close enough to order food from. A quick and easy drive to Busch Gardens. And best of all, no demands on our time or energy aside from the ones we chose. It was such a nice little place.

We're talking about going back for Jess' birthday next year. It'll probably be hot as hell, but that's what bottled water and powerade is for. They have a Food and Wine Festival that goes from April to June, so we'll try to hit that and get some food from different countries and states.

Okay, I think i've rambled enough for this morning. Have the best Monday that you can have, everyone!
