Last morning of the vacation. Right now, I'm sitting here sipping coffee, but soon I'll have to start getting ready to go home. I'm sad to be leaving, especially since the park is open today, and we could have done one more day, but my sister could only get the one day off, so no park for us today. Just a long drive home.

But on the plus side, we had such a great time during our two days that it's okay. And we'll be back, hopefully before too long.

Yesterday was another clear and sunny day. We were still a little sore from Friday, so we determined to take the train as much as possible. (Spoiler, even with that, we walked about 4 more miles.) We got there before the park opened which was the best choice we made all day. There were already about a hundred people penned up in England, waiting for the park to open up all the way. (The park is sectioned into "countries" that it's themed after. Entry is into England, which is set up as a quaint little village. Busch Gardens does theming very well. Once the gates opened, we headed directly for the train, and hopped it over to Festa Italia, where I finally got to do the one thing I really wanted to do--Ride Apollo's Chariot!

I loved Apollo. I fit into the seat easily, and we had a very sweet seat companion who was thrilled that she was getting to ride with first timers. The first chain lift takes approximately forever. You just go up and up and up, all with the morning sun directly in your eyes. Then, you hit the top of the hill and look straight down, and your entire hindbrain is going "What have you done, we're going to die." Then the first drop hits, and I couldn't stop giggling. Apollo is made to be fast, smooth and give the maximum amount of airtime. It has a lot of smaller hills after the first big drop that took your out of your seat just as well. All too soon, we were pulling into the station, and trying to smooth out seriously wind blown hair. I loved it so much. It was everything I was hoping it would be--pure fun.

Then, it was off to the Tradewinds, which is called the Rock and Roll express in the carnivals I've seen it in. Again a lot of fun. I think it went a little faster than most of the carnival versions, because Jess was plastered to me the whole ride. Not complaining!

Then, we hiked over to Germany and the Festhaus for an early lunch, and to watch the show, an American Idol-type singing contest between ghouls. I knew exactly none of the songs, because they were all current, but it was a lot of fun. We walked down to New France, and headed for the french fry place in France, but decided we were too full to partake.

Then, it was back on the train-now very full as the park was getting seriously crowded. We took it back to Scotland and walked up to England for the Monster Stomp show. The show was great. Very much percussive based, with amazing dancers and a loose plotline of White Chapel during the Ripper times. Lots of women in corsets and skimpy outfits and one particularly attractive dude running around shirtless in leather pants. There was this great sequence where four people with two knives each were doing percussion on a coffin lid that was just amazing. And it had this woman with serious guns in the mix. Between her and leather pants, it was very much a "oh yes, I am theoretically bisexual." Overall, not surprisingly as it was about hookers, it was a very horny show. Also an awesome show.

Then, it was off to the Clydesdale barns for the Clydes and Collies tour. As a former horse girl whose favorite horse was the Clydesdale, I was thrilled. I got smooched by a Clydesdale, got to throw the ball for a blonde border collie and fed some sheep. All good.

By the time we finished that, the park was bonkers and we were both tired, so we bid a fond farewell to Busch Gardens and headed back to the condo for some rest and relaxation.

And now, it is time to go home, boo. Have a great Sunday, everyone!
