Greetings from Williamsburg! As usual, I am up way too early. Jess is still sleeping like the sane person they are.
Yesterday morning and early afternoon passed so slowly! By 10:30am all my errands were done and I was too hyper to focus on anything. Time dragged so slowly towards 2. Then, thankfully, brother in law got there early! We were on the road by 1:15.
Which turned out to be a really good thing. Traffic was fine through the DC beltway, but as soon as we hit I-95 in Virginia, we just stopped. That went on for a while.
We did tahe 45 minutes to stop for lunch at Cracker Barrel, then it was back into traffic. I was definitely hungrier than I thought, as I basically inhaled my food.
Once we got below Fredericksburg, things opened up and I was blowing along at 75mph the whole way.
Thankfully, the directions to Williamsburg are easy, so at about 6:30pm, we were pulling into the condo. The reservation couldn't have been nicer, and before we knew it, we were holed up in a lovely first floor unit. It's huge, and has everything we need and then some.
We ordered in some excellent Mexican food and crashed out for the evening. I didn't sleep great, but that is not unexpected. I never sleep well the first night at a new place.
Today, it will be off to Busch Gardens! The park opens at noon, and we plan to be there to open it up. Everyone have a lovely Friday!
