So early! Why does 6 on Sunday feel so much worse than the rest of the week? I guess because I'm the only one awake? Oh well, I had a cup of coffee, I'll start waking up soon.
We didn't do a whole lot yesterday--a quick trip to the dispensary to get Jess gummies for the trip, so they don't have to bring an RSO syringe with us. Turns out, even the lower dose gummies are a little strong for them, so we'll be cutting them in half. They spent most of the day slightly high on the couch after that foray. The dispensary that's become their go to is a touch out of the way, but they have really good sales that make up for it. 40 gummies were $20, which is a really good price.
After that, we sat, and I was bored most of the day. I just couldn't settle to watching anything. Unfortunately, since the money from the retirement account hasn't come in yet, we won't be able to go to the Greek Festival this year. To be honest, I wasn't that keen on it anyway, because Covid, but I really could have gone for some dolmades and loukoumades. (The first is a rice and meat filled grape leaf, and the second is honey drenched fried dough balls.) Once the money comes in, I can at least get the dolmades from a local Greek restaurant. I'll have to wait for the little fried dough balls till next year, though.
Around 5, I started craving something sweet, and we made a foray out to the local Asian market. I got both red bean paste buns and custard filled buns to microwave. They were so good! The custard especially hit the spot. In just a little while I'm going to make two for breakfast.
We've started trying to schedule the Wild Beyond the Witchlight game, but apparently, everyone is super busy for October. We'll figure it out. Most likely, we'll do it on a weekday for a couple of hours, and then move to Saturday afternoons in Novemeber.
Okay, time to get a couple of custard buns and get ready for work. Only 4 days til vacation!
