beansideIn Grace watch, things seem to be slowly improving. She did throw up once, but through the day, she got a little more active, and came out to drink a few times. (Which I had not seen her do, and was very worried about.) Then at dinnertime, she came out to the living room and demanded her share of the rotisserie chicken we were having. She ate 9 whole bits before she retired to the bed and sat there to digest. It all stayed down, and she ate some more treats later. I'm cautiously hopeful? I don't think we're quite out of the woods, but it's better than it was. She's going to hate me by the end of it, since I seem to be the one who can get her antibiotics into her.
We are now officially 10 days away from vacation. I'm still feeling like it's further away. I spent a little time looking at the route towards Williamsburg. It's a straight shot, though depending on DC traffic, it could be a pain, especially since we'll most likely be leaving in the afternoon on a Thursday. I'm not looking forward to the drive to be honest. It'll be around 4 hours, which is a little beyond what I like to do. Though I've gotten soft during the pandemic. The furthest I've driven is about 45 minutes when we went boating at Lake Codorus last year.
Work has been mostly quiet. There have been some issues with the reports, and they haven't been sending all of them lately, so it's always a question of whether we'll get all of them on any given day. Tomorrow, I have to go into the office for my meeting, which seems to have been reduced to an hour from two. Which makes it seem like more of a pain for nothing. I'll at least have the shadowing of my former TL to keep me busy.
At least, with Gracie finally eating, I got a little better sleep last night. I still feel tired, but not nearly as bad as I was yesterday. Hopefully, tonight I'll get another good night. Since it won't be my night to put dad to bed, I'll be able to go to bed early.
We just started listening to Dimension 20's Misfits and Magic for our podcast time. I love it so far. It's a different DM, and the usual DM is playing, and his character is just breaking my heart in the best way. We're only one episode in, and I'm just sorry there's only four episodes of this one.
Okay, that's about it for this morning. Time for more coffee and getting into work mode. Have the best Monday you're able to have!
