beansideMornings are not my favorite thing. At least not 6am mornings. I woke up at 4:30 to take my Rybelsus, figuring I'd just lay there and relax til 6, but instead, I fell back asleep deeply and so my alarm scared the shit out of me.
Today will most likely be a long, boring day, as none of the markets will come in until later in the day. Yesterday, I mostly spent time watching videos on my phone, and looking up D&D magic items to see what I want to put in future parts of the module. I didn't find anything that worked for what I wanted, so I'll probably end up homebrewing a magical item. It's funny, some classes, there's a million really good magical items that you can bestow. Paladins are easy, for example. Others, not so much. Or maybe that's just me being super picky and wanting to match up with my player's strengths.
There will be a bright spot, as I'm going to get to virtually shadow with a TL, which I'm looking forward to. My manager suggested asking one of the TLs who has the job I want to shadow, and fortunately, my first choice was willing to help me out. The last feedback I got from management was that I they don't want to put me into a position where I don't know what I'm getting into, which kind of sounds bullshitty to me, but I will jump through their hoops.
I continue to wait to find out what our bonus is going to be this year. It looked like we were going to make our sales goals, so we should be getting something. It's almost two weeks after the fiscal year closed, and I am not patient. I don't really expect to get it before vacation, though that would be awesome.
Vacation is now 17 days away. I've been watching videos of opening night, and it seems like it'll be a lot of fun. I'm a little bummed out that the water rides are all closed, as I really wanted to do Escape from Pompeii, but I will live. We'll just have to go back in the spring/summer for a weekend.
Okay, short one today. I shall now go forth and have some more coffee. Have the best Monday you can have!
