Labor Day! I am not feeling it today. I did not sleep worth shit, and I've got a wicked headache. I briefly entertained thoughts of calling in sick, but it's time and a half pay today, so I dragged my tired ass out of bed and made coffee.
Today is the first day of her four day weekend that my sister is home the entire day. Hopefully, she's too tired from her concert yesterday to be too chatty. I can dream, at least. I'm shielded from the worst of it when I'm in the office, but I feel bad for poor Jess who can't really get away.
Yesterday, I really, really didn't feel like cooking, so we did a Panera family meal, which was plenty of food, and really tasty. I still have another half sandwich and half a quart of broccoli cheddar soup if I want for breakfast or lunch. I'm thinking breakfast, since I need something in my stomach to take ibuprofen.
I am pleased that my counter on Roll20 countdown now has single digits for both of my games. D&D is just 5 days away and Monster of the Week is 6 days. After probably nine months, I'm finally learning some of Roll20's tricks, so that's good. All of our party now has personalized tokens on the map, making it easier to see who I'm casting fireball on, and it should do a turn tracker, so I don't have to get writer's cramp keeping track of whose turn it is to go. We've currently got a party of 9, plus the BBEG (big bad evil guy). It gets confusing who is where otherwise.
Vacation is now officially 24 days away! I think at this point we're all ready for it. Now it's just the waiting. I hate the waiting part.
Okay, I think that's going to be it for this morning. Everyone have a good Labor Day!
