Friday ended up being pretty okay. Psych appointment went well, all prescriptions have been refilled for another three months. After thinking about it, I decided to hold off on asking for anxiety meds. I think a lot of my anxiety is situational, and the pills won't necessarily help with that. Also, I hate asking for things.

We had some excellent Chinese food for lunch from a place that has lunch specials, so it's cheap. It was $41 for four lunch specials, shrimp toast and a quart of mixed fried rice. All in all, pretty good. The only downside to the place is that they don't deliver, so I had to go fetch. It's only about a 15 minute drive, though. Totally worth it.

Then it was off to the dispensary for some sleepytime pills for Jess. We had to go to the least favorite dispensary as they were the only ones who had them in. It's unfortunately near the state fair, which is going on right now. Traffic wasn't nearly as bad as when I had my vaccine at the fairgrounds, so it was all good.

Spent the evening geeking out about D&D with Jess. I figured out a couple of more features of Roll20, which is the website we use to game, which made me very happy. Now I'm looking even more forward to next Friday's session, so we can test out the new things I've learned. Roll20 can be a little counterintuitive, so I'm kind of learning as I go. Over the last three sessions I've learned three new things. This after nearly 9 months of playing.

Today is Monster of the Week! I finished the mystery yesterday, and I look forward to seeing how it evolves from there. It's really funny, I used to write like three pages of plot for the games, but it's slowly shrunk over time. Now, it's like three to four paragraphs, and I let the players dictate what happens more. I think it makes it a better game. Certainly more open. Less pushing the players in certain directions to get to the next scene.

Wizards of the Coast, who publish D&D are doing a D&D celebration in late September, with a myriad of games. Most are centered around the Wild Beyond the Witchlight, which is the new game I'm going to be running. After some thinking about whether I wanted to play with a bunch of strangers, I decided to say the hell with it and do it. So I'm playing in a 9am game on Sept 24. It'll be interesting to see how another DM runs it. It'll be a four hour game, and I'll give me a little introduction to the Witchlight Carnival before I start running the game. It only cost $20, so if it sucks, I'm not out much money. Hopefully, I have some fun and get some cool ideas.

Okay, that's about it for today. Everyone have a fun-filled Saturday!
