beansideAs always, mornings come dreadfully early on work days. But it's my Friday, so whatever!
My ghost meeting yesterday disappeared from my schedule, so I have no idea what it ever was. I assume someone mis-scheduled today's meeting originally. Today's meeting is about family, and how it can be more than blood relations. I expect this to be clumsy and well meaning as most of our Equality, Diversity & Inclusion meetings are. I'll give this much to IKEA. We try. It doesn't always hit the mark, but we give it our best go. If nothing else, it gives me an hour break from work.
Yesterday was a mostly quiet day. My coworker was out for a root canal, so I did his markets as well as mine, so I was busy most of the day for a change. The last two hours dragged a little, but it could have been worse.
I'm a little cranky because all of the departments around us have been getting overtime to work on special projects, but they haven't thrown any our way. I know OT normally exhausts me, but I really like the extra $$. It'd be nice if they'd offer it at least.
Listened to Rusty Quill Gaming last night. SUPER tense episode. I honestly don't know if our heroes can get out of the fight they're in at the moment. It's just a really vicious boss fight, and without going into spoilers, it's not going super well. RQG was my first actual play podcast, and will probably always be my favorite deep down, even if it's Pathfinder and not D&D proper.
Tomorrow is D&D night! *muppet flail* I've missed it so much! It's been a long few weeks! We've managed to end up with Monster of the Week and D&D on different weekends, so there's always something to look forward to. And soon, we'll add another game in there! (Soon being a little bit over a month away.)
