I slept late today! It's such a change for me. I finally got out of bed around 8:15, which is really late for me. I'd been awake since about 6, but for once, my body let me lay there and relax/doze a little. It was very enjoyable, and I wish I could do it more often.

Yesterday, I did nothing. Literally nothing. I sat on my butt on the couch and watched Busch Gardens walkthroughs all day. It was a little too sunny and warm to work on the trike, and I'll admit, I'm very hesitant about doing the chain. The last time went so poorly, I'm a little afraid of it. I'm going to do it, but it may take me a little time to work up to it. In retrospect, I'm kind of sorry I didn't pay someone to come and build it. Too late now!

The Busch Gardens fever is starting to abate a little. I'm getting picky about the videos I'm watching. So in another week, it should be down to a much less obsessive level, which is good. I'll still want vacation to hurry up, but it won't be quite as consuming. Neuroatypical for the win.

I did decide that we're purchasing the VIP parking passes. It's expensive, but I know by the end of a day, we're going to be exhausted, and the less walking to the car we have to do, the better. The plan is to be able to shamble to the car, and back to our hotel.

Apparently, there's a nice seafood buffet in Williamsburg. It'll of course, really depend on the Covid situation when we go. But all you can eat crab legs! Fried scallops! If we can't go there, we may try one of the other semi-nice places one night. I figure it'll probably be a late dinner, so hopefully, the crowd won't be too bad.

One thing I did do yesterday was D&D, which was awesome! (Too many NPCs to play, though. My Roll 20 window is cluttered with character tabs. I'm going to have to make sheets in D&D beyond for a couple of them, just to make my life easier.

Last night saw our adventurers heading towards Xardorok's fortress. To get there, they took the long way around, and ended up in Dougan's Hole, where two children were kidnapped by winter wolves. The party decided that the children took priority and headed out. They found two wolves who sold them a tale about their evil frost giant master who regularly beat them. They wanted the party to rescue the kids and led them to the giant evil lair. Where they found a giant peeved off mammoth. Our sorcerer managed a truly stellar animal handling skill and calmed it down, where it proved to just be depressed, because another adventuring party had killed the frost giant. She says the winter wolves kidnapped the kids, either hoping for a ransom or to eat. The party splits, with the rogues stealthily going to rescue the kids, and the rest of them going to confront the wolves.

The wolves prevaricate for a bit, but the bard cast suggestion on one, and it admitted that they stole the children. The other immediately lets loose with it's breath weapon! And, initiative. The other wolf gets off his breath weapon, but all in all, the wolves get curb stomped by the rather large party.

They head back, and the children's grateful mother gives them boots of the winterland, which go to the paladin, who is an always cold tiefling. (They have fire resistance, but cold is a real pain for them.)

They head off to the fortress, encountering an undead coldlight walker. Another curb stomp as both our sorcerer and the NPC wizard Gamin get off fairly impressive fireballs. They reach the fortress and suddenly a high entrance opens and the chardalyn dragon bursts out. They're too late to stop it.

We closed there on the big cliffhanger!

Today, Monster of the Week, when the chaos gremlins go after Aarón Sánchez!

it must have been a day for sleeping in! I also woke later than usual - it felt good, but weird. and of course that cut into the cool morning time to have open windows, before it gets hot.

your vacation plans are sounding great - that buffet should be fantastic. I sure hope you can make it there for a special dinner
