beansideAnd we've made it to Monday! Whoo. Sunday was pretty quiet. Boring as hell, because there were very little work to do. Project folder remains at zero, my markets didn't bother to send anything, so I helped out in the inbox, and tried to do some trainings.
The Diversity and Inclusion training was a problem, because all the videos marked as stuff like "An uncomfortable conversation with a Black man" were blocked by our monitoring software. Which is seriously fucked up. I have a (Diversity and inclusion) meeting with one of our People and Culture representatives on Tuesday, so I'm going to bring it up then, because that is total bullshit. I did find the videos on my phone, so I still watched them, but it was a pain in the ass, and better than half the videos were blocked (mostly the ones that were a little more honest and less produced. I may work on more of them today if I have nothing to do.
After that, I did not a whole fucking low. Jess made slow cooker jambalaya which was excellent as always. Though the Hillshire Farm andouille sausage had more of a kick than I was expecting. It was a very, very good meal.
Jess figured out the surprise vacation that I was looking into. They liked the idea, so it appears that we will be going to Busch Gardens Williamsburg 9/30-10/3. I am so excited about this that I can't wait! We'll probably do vacation package from Busch Gardens, since it seems like it would be a bit cheaper. I'm still seeing if I can price something out otherwise, but it looks like it would be way more expensive to do it that way. Sorry, I will probably babble about this a lot over the next three months.
We'll probably be getting the in park meal deal, which will include three entrees and drinks while we're in the park, but maybe one night we can leave a little early and go for a late dinner somewhere nice. Unfortunately the Original Pancake House down there seems to have closed, so no Dutch Baby pancake for me. *sad* There's still one in Falls Church, so it's possible we could stop on the way back home, if we feel like it.
Okay, time for the second cup of coffee and to obtain underwear so I can put on clothing. It's not fancy clothing, just leggings and a tank top, but it's my work uniform.
