beansideI did not end up playing in the game last night, sadly. Around 5, I started feeling nauseous and my headache came back hardcore. Instead, I went and laid down for a few hours until it was time to put Dad to bed. It seems like everyone had fun, and I was really sad to miss it. Hopefully, someone will want to play again, and I'll get to try it out.
Otherwise, yesterday was...okay. The dog was very uncomfortable post butt shaving and was a whiny, twitchy little thing, which was stressful for everyone. I felt bad Jess had to deal with it for the most part while I was working. He apparently slept pretty well, and he seems a little happier this morning, so that's good.
Work was pretty okay as well. I ended up making another training manual for how to handle orders that need to be cancelled and rebooked. Apparently, in our last round, a bunch of them were done incorrectly. (Which I also had to go through and fix.) Thanks to our system, it has to be done in a very fiddly way, which apparently most people don't know.
My manager asked me to make a spreadsheet of the trainings I've made as well as the dates they were created, as well as a desktop folder with the training documents, so I have a sort of portfolio of what I've done. That way, if I make it to the interview process on a job, I have an easy reference of all the shit I've done.
Now, I just need to get the upper management to see me as a Talent, and actually consider me for a job.
ION, my tricycle came yesterday. It is...very, very neon orange, and very disassembled. Reading through the directions on how to put it together, this is going to be a handful. But once it's together, no one will miss us coming, that's for damn sure. We also got a bright green helmet, so that should help with visibility too. I'm going to start trying to put it together tomorrow, so I'll have the whole day to work on it (minus whatever rain we get. Hopefully, maybe by Saturday, I'll be able to take it out for a spin. If it turns out to be too much for me to do, there are bike professionals who will come and do it for me, so I'm keeping that in the back of my mind.
Tomorrow is D&D night! One more sleep til game time! And two days to MotW! I wrote out the mystery for MotW yesterday, and I'm kind of excited about it. I'm hoping it's as much fun to play as it was to come up with.
