beansideToday, 6am felt way too early. I thought about laying there a little later, but I was afraid I would fall back asleep and not get up in time, so up we got.
I'm off today, because the dog has a poopy butt and needs to go to the vet for a sanitary shave. And, like Dad's appointments, this is my job. He's very clingy and wants to be close to his people, to the point that when my sister and I were both out of the room (her to shower and me to get coffee and feed the cats) he went in and jumped on Dad. Which of course meant that Dad is now awake at 6:20am, and out in the living room being talky. I hadn't even finished my first cup of coffee! It's going to be a long day.
Yesterday was quiet. Work was nothing exciting. My market didn't come in until 3:30, and only one came in, so I was in the project folder all day. It was enough to make a girl fall asleep at her desk, but I persevered and got a few done. Still up to 700 orders, with more in the inbox to be added.
On Sunday, I had a meeting with my manager. He is bound and determined to get me into a management role. Mostly we talked about what a manager does, and how we can enhance my current role as leader of the project folder. It's really nice to have someone who's on your side as solidly as he's on mine. I don't know that I've had a manager care about me as a person with goals before like this. It's a little overwhelming, but in a good way.
Only 3 days to D&D and 4 to Monster of the Week! I like going to Roll20 and looking at the countdown. It makes me happy. And I'm going to play in the For the Queen game tomorrow, so it will be a TTRPG heavy week!
