Nothing exciting going on yesterday. Work was busy and very frustrating. Our main system is suddenly running incredibly slowly. It takes anywhere between 3-10 minutes to make a case. This has slowed down things to a crawl. I'll start the case and while waiting for it to pop up, I'll chat, check twitter on my phone, check tumblr while I'm there, and maybe by the time I'm done, the case will be ready. It's incredibly annoying, and is making markets that should take 30 minutes take 2 hours.

Add to that the fact that Boston is back on it's bullshit, and it made for a very frustrated T by the end of the day. I got everything done, barely, but didn't have time to send it back, so that'll be my first order of business this morning. Hopefully, they've fixed the system so I'll be able to get shit done in a reasonable amount of time.

Okay, I've bought the bike and it's shipped. Want it now please. Unfortunately, it won't arrive until between July 6-8th. It's not coming from Amazon proper, but from the manufacturer, so it's a little slower. It's this one. Jess and I agreed on the orange bike so it didn't look particularly gendered, and they will feel comfortable riding it, too. It's a 7 speed, which should be interesting. I've never had a bike that was more than one speed. Or a bike with hand brakes. It may take a little getting used to. Also, apparently it can be a real pain in the ass to put together, so that could be interesting. If worst comes to worst, I can hire someone to come put it together, I suppose.

Since we started feeding him on demand, Sam has become a bit of a nightmare. He's constantly yelling for food, but he's not hungry, he just ate five minutes ago. Right now, I have given him a full can of food, of which he's eaten about half, and yet he is still standing here yelling. He wants me to go into the bathroom and give him some Nutrical, but he had some of that, too, and he is not getting any more. He's only supposed to have three teaspoons of that a day, so we use that as a treat between meals. He's gaining weight, which I'm thrilled about, but it's like he's back to when we first got them, and he's not letting anyone relax. He's got that particular tone of meow that's like nails on a chalkboard.

Today, we shall have work. Whoo, work. Oh well, it's my Friday, so that's good. Also my early day. It's mostly because of the call center, but we have one day where we get off half an hour early. This is since people get stuck on calls there's a grace period before you hit overtime. I may not take any calls anymore, but I love my half hour early.

Now, it is time for the second cup of coffee. Have a good Thursday, everyone!

That is a very nice trike! I'm curious to hear how it works out!

if all else fails, you can do what we did with the much older one we have at work: strap a fire extinguisher to the back and turn it into a rocket :)

That's a nice bike, I wouldn't mind having one like that myself-great basket for grocery shopping. If someone competent could put it together for me, that is...and if I lived in a downstairs apartment or had a storage unit. I haven't ridden a bike in many years, partly because I've never been very steady on one, & partly because there's no good riding areas around. But if I could get a rack on my car that could handle it (?), it would be nice to drive out to some more rural area & tool around.

I wish cities were designed better for foot traffic & bikes. Any bike rack for a 3 wheeler would probably be like a wheelchair lift for size, & prohibitively pricey...but one can wish!
