beansideJess has done their best to get "Welcome to the Internet" by Bo Burnham stuck in my brain. It's definitely a bit of an earworm.
Yesterday was quiet and a bit boring. My coworker's markets continue to be MIA, unless they came in after I left yesterday. I'm a little afraid what they'll look like when they do arrive. So, I just did my stuff and then some of the inbox and some of the project folder. Nothing new under the sun.
Today will probably be more of the same. I do have a meeting with our People and Culture team to discuss my ambition and resume. It's a thing they're offering. Since it's only a 15 minute appointment, it probably won't be much, but I figured every little bit helps.
It'll definitely be a coffee day, as I could not sleep last night. I think I dozed a little, but most of the night, I was just awake.
I have a doctor appointment next Friday, the 26th, so I'm going this Friday for a pedicure. Part of the joy of being diabetic means that he's going to be scrutinizing my feet, so I want them to look passable. A little illusion of self-care, if you will.
Friday will be a busy day, actually. We have Loki to watch, plus there are two rented movies waiting in the Amazon queue. Jess wants me to see Megamind. And Willy's Wonderland finally dropped in price to rent. (When it first came out, it was $20 to rent, and while I'm here for shitty Nic Cage movies, I couldn't justify it at that price point.) Then, it'll be time for D&D!
Saturday, we're taking a trip to the dump, because we have some bags from cleaning the car, and Jess has also been clearing shit out of the house, too. They're awesome. Apparently, our SUV doesn't fit as many bags as they were hoping, but nothing says we can't make multiple trips. Then, it'll be time for Monster of the Week!
