Sunday seems to come so fast! I'm not ready to go back to work yet. I really did not want to get up this morning. I got to sleep late, and 6am came really early. It's definitely going to be a day that involves coffee. I feel like I say that every morning, but I'm really going to need it today.

We didn't end up doing the market yesterday. Neither of us was really that committed to it, and instead we made the trek to a new dispensary. It's not that far away, but is downtown in an area we hardly ever go to. There's a weed strain called Blue Frost that is really popular, and really hard to get. It works really well on pain as well as anxiety, and it's Jess' go-to for migraines and other fun body tricks. Problem is, most of the dispensaries have had it once or twice, and never again. It was time to get some more of her edible form (which is also good for pain), so we were looking for a good price. This dispensary's been on our radar for a while, because they have such good prices, so when I looked on there, I did my customary search for Blue Frost, and lo and behold, they had the pre-rolls in stock. That sealed it, obviously. We were making the trek downtown.

First, I dropped my car off for it's shiny brake job, and then we took my sister's car, and headed down to the nice little weed shop. Jess said they were very nice, and they were in and out in 15 minutes flat.

Then, it was back home, so my sister could be ready to go to her concert. Of course, my car was ready 5 minutes after they left, so I had to take an Uber to go pick it up. My driver was chatty, and informed me that "my husband should be doing this." I did not reply to this, as I was honestly too surprised to say a word, plus I still had a 10 minute ride to go, and didn't want outright hostility from the woman with Christian Rock playing on her stereo.

Fortunately, the car was parked out front, and it was the work of a minute to get spring it from the nice people at Mr. Tire.

Then, it was home and time for Monster of the Week! Our hunters picked up again with a fen hound holding them hostage for his mistress. After brief discussion, our Divine grabbed the doggo and teleported him away, and they headed for the nature center to confront the doggos mistress. She stressed that she didn't want to hurt them, but she wouldn't let the mud run go on and encroach on the lesser brown toad's habitat. They agreed to stop the run, in return for her calling off the dogs.

The Divine and their flaming sword took care of the obstacles, and our Spell Slinger bribed the organizer of the run to cancel it, agreeing to become an investor in his new line of off brand Ninja Warrior gyms. Thus, with the run called off, they headed back to the nature center to let Emmalyn know about the good news. She agreed to send the doggos back to their home dimension and pulled out a bone whistle and played a tune.

Instead of the doggos being dispatched, a rift opened behind her and a rider on a nightmare horse came through. It immediately chopped off Emmalyn's head and stole the whistle, calling the doggos to it's side, and opening another rift, through which three more riders emerged, and the Wild Hunt was called.

A brief fight ensued, and the Divine got he whistle, and the doggos back on their side. Annoyed, the head huntsman tried to kill the doggos, but was thwarted. The Hunt fled, and the game was ended as our power went out.

Dad was a petulant teenager about the power being out, and it was a fun nearly two hours before it came back on. To be fair, he was stuck in his power chair with his feet up, and needed to use the restroom. We got creative with a urinal, and he settled down some after that, but was still full of cussing.

Soon after the power came back on, our dinner arrived, and we feasted well. Shrimp kabobs! Dolmades! Spanokopita and a Gyro for Jess!

Soon after, I went to bed, making Jess promise to let me know when Dad wanted to go to bed, so I could come up and do that. Which I did about an hour and a half later. (Thus the slightly fucked up sleep cycle.)

Okay, now that I've rambled a lot, I shall have some more coffee and get ready for work. Hope everyone has a nice Sunday!

it's always interesting to read about your campaigns - the types of opponents and various weapons are a hoot

I mean, even a few hours is a pain, but glad the power wasn't out longer!
