Metallica continues to be the theme for most of my subject lines this week.
God, yesterday I was just grumpy as hell the whole day. I have no idea why, but everything was pissing me off. Nothing happened, I was just cranky.
I got my expensive glasses from the eye doctor, and I'm not thrilled. They're not the most comfortable, and they're very heavy. They look okay, but nothing special. For $347, I wanted rainbows and kittens, I guess. I'm not wearing them today, because I have a little zit under my nose pad, and the heaviness is just irritating it more. The other glasses have been at our post office for two days now, without going out. They're likely to be my regular glasses, since they're the Transition lenses, should they ever arrive.
As usual, work was fine. The project is under 200 now, which is awesome and amazing. No word on either of the jobs I've posted for yet.
I'm coming to the conclusion that I'm bored. I feel like I've advanced as much as I can in this job, and I want something more. It's fine--I don't dislike my job or anything. I'm just ready to learn new things.
Speaking of learning new things, after some consideration, I applied for our local community college. Now I just have to find my GED to send to them. I'm looking at a major in Business Management. Once I finish that, I'll transfer to one of the state colleges to get my Batchelors. I'm terrified. I will be in my mid-late 50s by the time I'm done, which feels really old to be starting over. I know IKEA will reimburse most of my tuition for the community college at least. Once I get into the state college, it won't be enough to cover full tuition, so I'll be looking into scholarships and what not. Hopefully there's some for old people or GLBT+ people. I don't know if I can do it, but I'm going to try.
Everyone have a good Wednesday! You've made it to Hump Day! Time to celebrate!
