It has been a high drama day. Dad is having side effects from the shot, and it is making all of us very antsy. When he gets a fever, he tends to get weak, and then we have falls. As a result, we have all three been up his ass since he started feeling bad yesterday afternoon. He says he thinks he feels a little better today, so here's hoping. I spent yesterday in a state of high alert, because generalized anxiety disorder, but I've relaxed a little today.
I have an appointment for my first shot on Tuesday. I'm excited and nervous, all at once. I'm going to the Walgreens and was able to get an appointment for after work, so I'm pleased about that. I was thinking I was going to have to take more time off to do my shot. I mean, we'll see how I do with it, as to whether I have to take time off after due to side effects. There's some anecdotal evidence that people who had Covid have worse side effects with the first shot, so that could be fun.
Today, I've gotta get my shit together and go to the Amish market. We don't need a whole lot, but we do need a few things. Since Dad is feeling poorly, I'll probably go to the bakery and get him some treats, even if it's bugfuck. Yesterday, he didn't really eat much, so today I will try to spoil him.
Then, it's Monster of the Week day! Here's hoping for a fun game!
Last night was D&D where our intrepid players started out the night by fighting two gargoyles and moved on to sunken treasure and a kelpie, who our cleric turned like it was nothing.(probably for the best. It had three attacks a round, and dealt pretty solid damage. Of course, none of this was actually in the module, so it was definitely a "pull it out of your ass" situation. They found some treasure, and a necklace of fireballs, to go with the staff of frost they got in the last big battle. Enemies are definitely going to be buffed from here on out, because my players can deal some serious damage if needed.
Fortunately, they're getting into the point where they can move onto the next set of adventures, so they'll be dealing with bigger foes, and more of them. Time for me to do a little bit of reading!
